abandoned and alone
in an artificial home
in a box
inside of boxes
underground
a world lost to time
and choked by vines
broken artificial minds
all around

for every step she takes
it seems three more this place forsakes

when automated walls
lend danger to the
dimming halls
a stranger
cybernetic ball's
her only guide
she was trusting
once before
now something rusting
dreams of war
sure to wake with soreness
in it's pride

although the surface calls
deeper down the hole she falls

programmed only to attend
my enemy
my only friend
it's hard to say goodbye
in a world without a sky

trying only to defend
my sanity
until the end
but I can never die

broken and astray
never spoke until the day
he went far out of his way
to help her live
for the one that he served
got what it deserved
but no rest assured
it would never forgive

for every choice he makes
it seems the voice prompts more mistakes

a subroutine
that daunted him
options grim
it haunted him
taunted him to take
total control
a choice that he made brazenly
to cast aside morality
met finality
through a portal

although his mind recalls
deeper into space he falls
